What is a Muth Jar? 
 
We are proud to offer our pure, raw, unfiltered honey in these beautiful antique muth jars. This container design was popularized by C.F. Muth of Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1800s, around the time when the honey extractor was popularized. Previously, honey had been sold primarily in the honeycomb. The honey extractor allowed the liquid to be spun from the combs, to be bottled and marketed in convenient and shelf-stable containers.
