ENC Local Honey provides Local Eastern North Carolina Raw & Unpasteurized Honey from several annual harvest varieties. While all honey contains wild flowers, each variety’s nectar and pollen come from local flowering plants prior to the harvest.

Why Raw and Unpasteurized Honey?

Raw Honey contains all the essential minerals needed for life including vitamins A, C, D, E, K. It also contains all of the B complex vitamins. Because of this, honey is an instant and natural energy building food.

Raw and Unpasteurized honey contains pollen from local plants and may aid in local allergies.

STEPS FOR LIQUIFYING HONEY:

1. Place honey in a glass jar in a large pot.
2. Fill the pot with warm tap water to the level of the honey, be sure not to get water in your honey.
3. Heat the water between 95-110°F.
4. Leave jar in the bath until the honey is liquid again. Over night works best.

Clary Sage is the rarest premium honey from Northeastern North Carolina. It’s high fructose makes it the fourth sweetesthoney. It’s a champaign honey with its golden color and sweet taste.

Cotton is a mild tasting honey & the fifteenth sweetest.

Early Autumn Amber is our darkest variety from Goldenrod, Morning Glory, Purple Astor, & Ragweed. Often used as a tastier & healthier substitute for Molasses.

Gall berry is a rare premium honey from our coastal areas. It’s high fructose makes it the 5th sweetest honey & diabetic friendly.

Spring White is the first harvest of the year. With the highest amount of glucose it contains nectar and pollen fromWhite Clover, Strawberry, Blueberry, & Red Maple. It’s the best honey for spring allergies.

Bagley Swamp comes from Perquimans County along a tributary of the Perquimans River.

Black Swamp comes from Jones County along the Trent River and harvested in the spring.

Cornucopia comes from the pollination of an Asian produce farm.

Crepe Myrtle is a light amber well balanced honey with a more traditional taste.

Early Summer Extra Light Amber comes from Southeastern NC with a variety of spring wildflowers. Light AmberBlend is a unique combination of either our Extra Light Amber or Tupelo Gold and Amber.

Oktoberfest comes from the Black Swamp in Jones County and harvested in the fall.

Sourwood is a premium diabetic friendly honey. Usually found in our western counties, ours is from Southeastern NC. Pollen tested showing 51% Sourwood, 16% Tupelo & 16% Gall berry making it the 8th sweetest honey.

Tupelo Gold  is a premium honey from black gum trees along our rivers and swamps, it’s high fructose makes it the thirdsweetest honey. Golden color and unique flavor highlights this honey.
